Rainbow's Ltd.

522 Jordan Lane

Linda and Yvonne run the ONLY gay oriented business in North Alabama. Many thanks to them! You can get all the usual gay pride stuff here including: cards, books, jewelry, magazines, T-shirts, videos, novelties, artwork, and more.

They are located in the shopping center on the east side of Jordan Lane between I-565 and University Drive, just south of Holmes Ave.

La Boheme

704 Pratt Avenue

Good friends, good sweets, and good java. What more could you ask for? They have a lovely outdoor patio.

Go east on University Drive until it turns into Pratt Avenue just past the I-565 overpass. La Boheme is on the north (left) side of the street near Red Hawk(?) and where Opening Books used to be.

Vieux Carré

1204 Posey Road

The longest running gay bar in Huntsville is split into two parts. As you enter, the main dance floor and lounge area are to your right and the pool tables and patio are to your left.

It would be best to approach the Vieux by heading east on University Drive toward Memorial Parkway. Turn south (right) onto Posey Street by Shoneys, which is right after you pass Pulaski Pike. Vieux Carré is on the east (left) side of the street after you pass the Aquarium Shop.

MCC of Huntsville

3015 Sparkman Drive

A local branch of the Metropolitan Community Church. With the gay brochures and pride flags flying in the main entrance, you KNOW all kinds of families are welcome here.

MCCH is located on the south side of Sparkman Drive just east of Pulaski Pike. It's right next to the old Naval Reserve and Branch Library.

Unitarian Universalist Church

2222 Governors Drive

The Unitarian Universalist Church is another gay friendly church to help you keep the faith.

Head east on Governors Drive up Monte Sano Mountain. The UUC is on the south (right) side of the road. It's buried past a gate down out of site on a winding, gravel driveway. If you pass Monte San Boulevard or the Scenic Overlook, you've went too far.
